Moving Fun - Part 1

As if attempting to shove everything you own in to boxes isn't enough fun, I decided to go the U-Haul route. And, since I have a lot of stuff I had to get the Jumbo Truck.

That's a lot of truck.

I didn't completely lose my mind; I did hire movers. But I used a great team that requires renting (and driving) the truck. My brother drove the truck the last time, so this was my first attempt. Overall, it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I have to give U-Haul credit for making the truck so easy to drive.

I also have to say THANK YOU to all the drivers who helped me out on moving day. With a few minor exceptions, everybody was patient and extra nice. Specially, a shout out to the gray Chevy truck who not only let me get in front of them, but slowed everybody down enough so I could actually change lanes. And, thank you to the dude in the white pick up truck who just laughed and waved after being stuck behind me creeping up the exit ramp.

Now, for the two exceptions - to the (stupid) Mini Cooper driver who cut me off and then turned right on a dime in front of me - are you kidding me??? What part of the giant U-Haul painted on the side of the 26' long truck doesn't clue you in to the fact that there is an AMATEUR driving this monstrosity??
And, to the dude speeding down I-10 driving the empty flatbed truck whose trailer repeatedly drifted into my life. Dude, you should have known better!

Anyway, alls well that ends well. Not only did I survive the day (and so did the truck) the rain held off until after everything was off loaded.
